Evans Chamber of Commerce installs 2013 officers

     The Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce held its Quarterly Membership Meeting Tuesday (January 8) during which officers and new directors for 2013 were installed.  The meeting was a Dutch treat luncheon at 12:00 noon in the Upstairs Banquet Room at Mrs. Rogers Restaurant in Claxton.   

      Paul Eason, Market President of Tippins Bank, was installed as Chamber President; Tim Waters, New York Life agent, 1st Vice President; Roaslind Ivery, Assistant BranchManager, South Georgia Bank, Secretary/treasurer; and, Jimmy Durrence, Sr., Vice President of The Claxton Bank Immediate Past President.

     New Directors who begin serving a 3 yr term are: Chris Gay, Food Fresh; Marie Blizzard, Essentially You Fitness & Tanning Salon; Nate Shaffer, The Claxton Bank; and, Shane Sikes, Shane’s Beverages

      Tammi Rogers Hall,  Executive Director of the Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce said the chamber’s mission is to promote and support business, civic, cultural, and educational growth in the Evans County community.
