Deneil Jackson is the second person in custody in the investigation.  Earlier 40 year old Jamie Lamont Smith of Sinkhole Road was arrested.

The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department said Jackson is charged with nine counts of first-degree burglary, two counts each of criminal attempt to commit burglary and felony theft by taking and one count of second-degree burglary.

The two are accused of the theft of items from construction sites in Bridgewater subdivision on Josh Deal Road, Langley Pond on Burkhalter Road and Jesup Homes on Highway 301 South.  Investigators with the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department say Jackson and Smith are also linked to other commercial burglaries along the 301 South corridor.  The thefts took place in June and July.  Investigator recovered more than $14,000 in stolen property.
