Stacey Kings is one of 18 winners chosen in Northland Cable’s contest to honor people in areas served by the company.
Our Girls Rock Too! is a non-profit organization to help “young girls of all ethnicities, sizes and beliefs…to become comfortable in their own skin and to love themselves through self-esteem/self-image building exercises.”
King was chosen among local entrants because, according to a Northland Cable announcement “Through her hard work, she and her volunteers have provided monthly empowerment programs, annual empowerment conferences, scholarships to high school seniors, college tours and school supplies to local programs. Her goal is to reach girls all over the United States to build self-esteem, encourage a positive self-image, and create girl empowerment.”
Northland Cable Business Manager Tim Kelley congratulated Kings on being chosen the Statesboro Hometown Hero winner. He thanked Kings and Our Girls Rock Too! for all they do in Statesboro. Northland Cable presented King with a prize worth $250 and donated $500 to Our Girls Rock Too!.
