Earlier this month the Bulloch County Sheriff Department’s Criminal Investigations Division was notified of a sexual relationship which existed between a 14 year old female and 21 year old Joshua Alexander Fordham of Lanier Drive.  Investigator Walter Deal determined that the sexual contact had occurred at a residence in the 300 block of Lanier Drive, Statesboro, over a period of several months.  The Sheriff’s report showed there was no evidence of force involved and the two individuals were not related.

Lanier was arrested Monday and charged with 7 counts of statutory rape, 1 count of child molestation, 1 count of enticing a child for indecent purposes, and 1 count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  The juvenile female was charged with being unruly and fornication.

Fordham is being held without bond in the Bulloch County pending further judicial action.
