Police looking for Metter armed robber

  The Metter Police Department is looking for an armed gunman who robbed a hotel Sunday afternoon.


  Metter Police Chief Dennis Nelson said about 2:15 p.m. Sunday “a black male, tall and slim build, with a short goatee beard, wearing a white T-shirt, dark long shorts, white socks, white shoes, dark sunglasses and what appears to be a white towel wrapped on his head" entered the America’s Best Value Inn on Fortner Road, produced a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money the fled on foot.  He was last seen heading toward the Bevrick’s Restaurant parking lot.
