A report from the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department said that last week Senior Deputy Doug Harrell was on patrol on State Route 46 in a vehicle equipped with Automated License Plate Reader technology which reads tags as they pass the patrol car and alert the deputy if the vehicle is stolen, has no insurance, is expired, or if the registered owner has an arrest warrant.  Harrell was notified that a truck he passed did not have the correct tag.  The truck was towing a trailer with a covered ATV on it.

Deputy Harrell and Deputy 1st Class William Sims contacted the driver of the truck, 41 year old Christopher Michael Jenkins of Pembroke, at a residence on Old Donaldson School Road.  He was found in of methamphetamine and a firearm.  The ATV on the trailer had been stolen from Tattnall County.

Further investigation lead to the recovery of two other stolen ATVs.  Two other suspects in the theft ring, 20 year old Brandon Conder and 22 year old Eric Fisher, both from Pembroke, to a home invasion armed robbery in June in Ellabell.

All three were placed in the Bulloch County Jail on various charges.
