Public assistance sought on armed robbery

Written by  Tuesday, 15 July 2014 09:30

A few minutes before midnight Saturday a man entered Po Jo’s #2 in the 21,000 block of U.S. 80 East, pointed a firearm at the clerk and robbed the store.  The suspect then fled the store on foot and was last seen heading down Burkehalter Road in the directin of White Oak Subdivision.  An extensive search of the area by patrol deputies and units of the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team failed to locate the suspect.

The robber is described as a black male, about 5’09″ tall, approximately 175 lbs, wearing a light blue shirt with white undershirt, baggy jeans, black and gray shoes, and a black “fisherman’s” style ha with Miami Heat logo.  Pictures of the suspect have been posted on the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department’s website and their Facebook page.
