OTC names new Criminal Justice Program director

Neal OwensNeal Owens  Neal Owens, a veteran police officer for over 24 years, is the new Director for Criminal Justice Program at Ogeechee Technical College.  For 17 of those years he has been a police instructor.  Throughout his career Owens has held various assignments including Patrol, Traffic and Criminal Investigations.  His numerous supervisory roles include Command Staff and Executive Level experience.

 

  Owens has a Master of Public Administration - Justice Administration degree from Columbus State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University.   He is Neal is certified by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.) as: Peace Officer to include Intermediate, Advanced, Supervision, and Management Certifications and holds P.O.S.T. Certifications as a Field Training Officer, General Instructor, and Firearms Instructor.

 

  He is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy and the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (G.A.C.P) Law Enforcement Command College Class 31-A.
