Smoke, smoke, smoke that cigarette

Written by  Friday, 04 July 2014 09:32

Apparently the urge to have a cigarette was so overwhelming a Statesboro man ended up in jail.  According to a Statesboro Police Department report about 9 p.m. Wednesday officers went to John’s Place, an addiction and counseling facility on West Altman Street, on a report that someone had used a wire from an air conditioner unit to light a cigarette.  Police say 20 year old Tyler Christian Collins of West Mica Court plugged the bare wires into an electrical outlet to light a cigarette.  He was arrested and charged with criminal trespass for the incident.  The report said he was also charged with being a wanted person for outstanding warrants against him for other crimes.
