Early voting begins today

The primary runoff election is set for July 22.  Georgia voters will decide the Republican race between U.S. Representative Jack Kingston and businessman David Perdue who are seeking the seat currently held by U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss.    Chambliss announced his retirement last year and did not run for re-election.

The winner will face Democrat Michelle Nunn in the November general election.

Two runoffs for the state school superintendent seat...one Republican the other Democrat.  Michael L. "Mike" Buck and Richard L. Woods face off on the Republican side.  Alisha Thomas Morgan and Valarie D. Wilson are seeking the Democratic nomination.  The winners will face each other in November.

Voters don't have to wait until July 22 to cast their ballots.  Early voting begins today and will continue through July 18.

Bulloch County voters can go by the Bulloch County Courthouse between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and vote in the County Elections and Voter Registration office.  Superintendent of Elections, Pat Lanier Jones, reminds voters they must vote the same party as they did in the primary.  Non-partisan and those who did not vote may choose a Republican or Democratic ballot.
