The EMMA Awards to be presented Saturday night

  The Averitt Center for the Arts will host the third annual Emma Awards Ceremony at 7 p.m.  Artists nominated for their work in presentations in the Averitt STARs Community Theater 2013-2014 will be honored.  Awards will be presented for Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Choreographer, Best Set Design, Best Costumes, Best Show, Critics Choice, and People's Choice.  This season's productions include Categories include: "The King and I," "Dracula," "Southern Hospitality," "Heartbreaks and Hallelujahs" and "The Music Man." 


  The Emma Awards Ceremony fundraiser is inspired by the Tony and Emmy Awards.  Tickets are $25 person or $40 per couple and can be purchased today and Friday at the Emma Kelly Theater box office from noon till 5 p.m.  You can also call 912-212-2787. 


  The semiformal gala will include a reception.
