Ricky JacksonRicky Jackson  According to a report from The Bulloch County's Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the PoJo's location on U.S. Highway 301 South at the intersection with Interstate 16 about 11:18 Tuesday night to look into a report of the theft of a smart phone.  While deputies were heading to the scene they were informed that by the Statesboro Police Department they were tracking a phone stolen from Clyde's store at the intersection of Fair Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway fifteen minutes earlier.  The victim there said he was approached by two men who asked to borrow his phone.  One of them stole the phone and ran off.  A description of the thief's vehicle was broadcast to area law enforcement agencies.

Sheriff's deputies stopped the car driven by 19 year old Ricky Jackson of Jane Street in Vidalia on Interstate 16 at Exit 104.  During a consensual search officers found both of the stolen phones in the car and placed him under arrest.  He was taken back to PoJo's and was identified by the owner of the phone that was stolen there.

Jackson was placed into the Bulloch County jail charged with robbery by sudden snatch and theft by taking.
