Miss EGSC to Compete in Miss Georgia Scholarship Pageant

 Harley StricklandHarley Strickland The daughter of JoAnn and Keith Strickland of Claxton, Harley is a graduate of Pinewood Christian Academy.  At East Georgia State College, she is pursuing a major in broadcast journalism.

 

  The Miss Georgia Send-off Celebration 2014, hosted by Miss EGSC and Miss Emanuel County/Miss Southeast Pageant Boards, is set for 5 p.m. in the auditorium of the Luck Flanders Gambrell Center at East Georgia State College in Swainsboro on June 5th.  The public is invited to attend free of charge and will see sportswear, swimsuits, and dresses that the ladies will wear at the Miss Georgia Scholarship Pageant later this month. A reception will be held following the preview show.

 

  Harley said it was her decision to enter pageants and not instigated by her parents as is so often the case.  At the age of 12 she entered the ‘Young Miss Rattlesnake Round-Up’ pageant at the age of twelve, which she won. 

 

  Harley has held three titles at once...Miss Pinewood Christian Academy, Miss Evans County Rattlesnake and Wildlife, and Miss East Georgia State College.

 

  She works at Frills by Scott in Statesboro.  She said she as designated Scott Marchbanks, her boss, her "Pageant Wardrobe Hero!"
