BOE Approves New Principal for SEB Middle

 Torian WhiteTorian White The Bulloch County Board of Education approved Torian White as the new principal of Southeast Bulloch Middle School during an executive session after Thursday’s Board meeting.  White currently serves as the principal of Conyers Middle School, a position he has held for two years.  He will begin his duties July 1, after the retirement of current SEBMS principal Milton Williams.


  White said he is excited to join the learning community at Southeast Bulloch Middle and is looking forward to building new relationships while enjoying the support of his family nearby.


  A native of Effingham County, White began his career at Salem High in 2003 as a mathematics teacher .  His entire 10-year career in education has been spent in Rockdale County, where he has served in various teaching and leadership positions. He was promoted to principal of Conyers Middle in 2012


  School Superintendent Charles Wilson said White is a dynamic young leader and welcomed him to Bulloch County.


  This is one of five principal changes for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year which begins August 1.  Dr. Karen Doty of Langston Chapel Elementary will transfer to Portal Middle High, Dr. Shawn Haralson will transfer from Portal Middle High to Langston Chapel Elementary, Julie Blackmar will move from Nevils to Julia P. Bryant Elementary, and Nate Pennington will move from Julia P. Bryant to Nevils.
