Written by  Wednesday, 23 April 2014 13:09

Last night, just before 10pm, sheriff deputies responded to a call at a residence in the 200 block of B Stubbs Rd according to a recent press release. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Keith Wesley Brannen, 43, on the ground with a gunshot wound.  Deputies then secured the location and performed a protective sweep of the home by patrol deputies. Their investigation led to the discovery of James Jeffrey Stubbs, 51, who was detained for investigation. The scene was processed by investigators over a period of several hours as they examined the scene and conducted interviews. This led to Stubbs being charged with aggravated assault. He is currently being held at the Bulloch County Jail. Brannen was flown to Memorial University Health in Savannah where he remains in critical condition.  Anyone with information on this case should contact Investigator Dusty Williams at 912-764-1703 or submit an anonymous tip to This email address is being protected from spambots.
