Bulloch County Spring Special Olympics April 26

  Nearly 100 students will gather at Statesboro High School at Womack Field this Saturday (April 26) from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., to take part in the Bulloch County Spring Special Olympics. Athletes will compete in events such as the 25-, 50- and 100-meter walk/run, the long jump and softball.  In addition to the athletes, volunteers from the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department, Georgia Southern University, Statesboro High School, Kiwanis Club, Parent 2 Parent, the Statesboro Service League, and more will help make the day's events exciting and enjoyable for the participants.


  This will be a fun and rewarding event for the athletes and an opportunity for the   community to be involved.  Georgia Southern University Head Coach Willie Fritz and members of the Eagles football team will participate in the opening ceremonies.


  The public in invited to attend as support these kids.
