According to the Bulloch County Sheriff’s office, members of the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team conducted a search warrant of 122 Lanier Drive, Apartment 724, Tuesday. Officers ordered Joshua Rowe and Deonte Dempsey to lie down on the ground. Rowe complied but Dempsey reportedly attempted to shut his bedroom door to avoid investigators. During a struggle Dempsey reportedly bit one of the C.S.T. investigators. He was subdued by a Taser.
Investigators found a firearm and about a pound of “high grade” marijuana which has a higher T.H.C. level and is usually grown indoors. Both were arrested.
Javon Mention, also a resident at the apartment who was not home at the time, later met investigators at the jail and was arrested as well.
Also Tuesday C.S.T. investigators, State Probation Officers, Master Deputy Kirk McGlamery and his K-9 partner “Max” searched a mobile home in the Clito area and seized 9 pounds of High Grade marijuana with a street value of about $30,000.00, cocaine, a handgun, and about $11,000. Timothy and Lashonda Harris, were arrested.
Within the past two days, C.S.T. Investigators worked the Stilson, Nevils, and Eldora areas making numerous arrests for traffic violations, drug arrests, and several outstanding warrant arrests, including a felony warrant out of Florida.
