Written by  Monday, 14 April 2014 10:04

In the past the council had held their retreats at various other venues around the city but decided to stay home this year.

Throughout the day council will hear a number of presentations from the various departments.  The head of the Information Technology Department, Water and Sewer Department, Planning Department, Engineering Department, Natural Gas Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department and Human Resources will all discuss the budget needs of their departments.

At 2:45 this afternoon City Manager Frank Parker and Director of Finance Cindy West will present a review of the current Fiscal Year 2014 as well as proposals for Fiscal Year 2015.

That will be followed at 4:15 with a discussion by Mayor Jan Moore and City Manager Frank Parker of Goals and Priorities for Fiscal Year 2015.

The budget planning retreat is expected to adjourn about 5 p.m. today.
