Averitt Center presents The Music Man

Written by  Friday, 11 April 2014 14:03

Quick-talking confidence man Harold Hill arrives in staid River City, Iowa, intending to cheat the community with his standard scam. Though he has no musical skill, he’ll offer to equip and train a boy’s marching band, then skip town with the money. But things go awry when he falls for the local librarian.

This Averitt STARS production brings a musical experience with classics like Gary Indiana and 76 Trombones. The show takes place at 7:30 p.m. on April 10th through the 12th and on Sunday April 13th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for youth and $23 for box seats. Friends of the Arts receive $2 off their ticket price.
