Department of Juvenile Justice Commissioner Avery D. Niles announced a round of job fairs are planned around the state this month. One of those fairs will be in Statesboro and another will be in nearby Swainsboro.
The department hopes to attract veterans and other highly qualified applicants seeking in the field of juvenile corrections.
The job fairs are free and open to the general public. DJJ recruiters will search for candidates for career positions including administration, transportation, communications, probation, I-T, engineering, counseling, maintenance, and correctional officers.
The Department of Juvenile Justice offers a one-time Military Salary Increase Incentive on eligible job titles to current and former military service members, who have served on active duty.
The Statesboro Career Fair is set for April 8, from 9 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at Ogeechee Technical College, One Joe Kennedy Blvd.
Southeastern Technical College will host a Career Fair in Swainsboro, April 23, from 9 a.m. till12 noon.
