OTC offers dual-enrollments with area schools

Agreements between the schools and Ogeechee Technical College signed Monday will allow those students to dual enroll and take specific classes taught at their schools presented by Ogeechee Tech.

The dual enrollment classes to be offered in this first year include automotive chassis technician specialist, basic shielded metal arc welder, nurse aide, prep cook and shampoo technician.

OTC president Dawn Cartee said the school has worked with the Bulloch County school system in the past offering courses and has plans to expand those.

Bulloch County School Superintendent Charles Wilson said "By working together, our students are getting what they need sooner and more efficiently, whether it be through dual enrollment or joint enrollment, just getting our students to the opportunities that are there for them."
