City Council meets Tuesday

  The council will consider a couple of alcohol license application…one from Gregory M. Parker for Parker’s #47 on Brampton to sell packaged beer and wine and another from Ana Lilia Escutia for a license to pour beer, wine and liquor at Southern Lounge on Fair Road.


  The council will consider a motion to set a date and time for a work session regarding revision of Chapter 6 of the Statesboro Code of Ordinances which addresses the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages.


  Dennis Rhodes is asking the council to consider his request to rezone property at 444 South College Street from Single-family residential to High-density residential.


  In other business: a motion to Approve Task Order No. 2 of Professional Services Agreement with Ecological Planning Group in the amount of $75,870.00 to assist the City with the development of Comprehensive Storm Water Management Program;


  An upgrade of the Water/Sewer operations software and network systems not to exceed $250,000.


  Several other items will be considered. The meeting will be open to the public.
