On Tuesday, March 18th investigators with the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team served a search warrant at Sea Pines Apartments in the 9000 block of Burkhalter Road in Statesboro, according to a press release. The search warrant was initially due to drug purchases from Jeromy Lee Keaveney, 28, the tenant of the building. Upon the police arriving to serve the search warrant, Keaveney attempted to fled the apartment, but was apprehended after a foot chase with authorities.  Police, during the search, ultimately found marijuana.  Keaveney was charged with four counts for the Sale of Marijuana, one count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, one count of Obstruction, one count of Possession/Use of a Drug Related Object, and parole violation.

Keaveney was paroled from the state prison system after having served three years of a ten year sentence for multiple burglaries, according to the Ga Dept of Corrections website.
