Written by  Wednesday, 19 March 2014 13:28

Dr. Francys Johnson, was arrested in front of the Governor's office as he was participating in Moral Monday, a rally in the Georgia Capitol rotunda on Tuesday, March 18, in which protesters gather at the end of the legislative session in order to share views or express frustration with certain issues in the process. Moral Monday activists stood in place urging Gov. Nathan Deal to expand Medicaid.

Nearly 40 Moral Monday Georgia activists were arrested for interrupting proceedings throughout the Georgia Capitol. Throughout the evening, protestors chanted, held hands, and lifted signs in protest of Deal’s refusal to extend the Medicaid program which would cover approximately 600,000 more of the poorest Americans.
