Bulloch County Schools invites anyone interested in K-12 education to attend "Speak Up For Education," this Thursday, February 27, 6 till 8 p.m. in the Statesboro High School Auditorium at 10 Lester Road.

You will be able to share ideas about how the community can (1) Ensure all Bulloch County's children are ready for kindergarten; (2) Ensure all Bulloch County graduates are ready for college and careers; and (3) Ensure Common Core will help children achieve.  These topics will help gather ideas that relate to the  College & Career Readiness portion of the Bulloch County Schools Strategic Plan (Plan).

You will  also hear a  brief report on the Plan, developed after last year’s three-month community engagement process, in which more than 700 people expressed what Bulloch County Schools does well, where there is still work to be done, and where time and resources should be focused.  Those comments and ideas lead to the creation the 20-year Plan that focuses on college and career readiness, employee performance, community collaboration, economic development, and stewardship of resources.

Childcare will be provided by request for children ages birth to 12 years old. (Call 912-212-8553).

  For more information call 212-8500.
