Body found in mobile home a homicide victim

Written by  Wednesday, 29 January 2014 10:35

Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson identified the woman as 39 year old Joylee Ann Brown of Eastview Apartments in Statesboro.

In an earlier report Anderson said patrol deputies were dispatched to the Oak Hill Mobile Home Park in the 25,000 block of U.S. 301 about 12:35 Sunday morning after a resident reported an open door at a neighboring mobile home.  Upon arrival deputies found Brown’s body inside the residence.  Family members have been notified.  The cause of death was not released but more information will be forthcoming as the investigation into her death continues.

Investigators and crime scene techs responded to the location and spent over 12 hours processing the mobile evidence.  The body was transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Coastal Regional Crime Lab in Savannah Monday for an autopsy.

Investigators are actively seeking information on this case and encourage the public to call in or email confidential tips.  Callers should speak with Inv Walter Deal at 912-764-1788 or email an anonymous tip to This email address is being protected from spambots.
