Police: Zetterower & Park Avenue Incidents Linked

  According to a report from the Statesboro Police Department the incidents that occurred between August and December of 2013 are similar in nature and involved burglary, armed robbery, sexual assault and peeping tom. 

 

  Director of Public Safety Wendell Turner said a photograph of the suspect obtained during the peeping tom investigation was released to the media December 24.  The grainy photograph shows a man described as a black male with  a thin build between 5'11' and 6'1" tall.  Two of the victims told police the person in the photo matches the person they saw. 

 

  Turner said the investigation of utilizing every available resource including assistance from the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office and Georgia Southern Police. 

 

  The public is being asked to remain vigilant and encouraged to provide any information to the Statesboro Police Department.  A reward is being offered for any information leading to the positive identification of the suspect.  

 

  Due to the sensitivity to the investigations the victims’ identities are not being released.  This is an ongoing investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
