Red Cross wraps up 2013 blood drives today

Written by  Friday, 27 December 2013 09:42

The first drive of the day will get underway at 11 a.m. in the Family Life Center at Eastern Heights Baptist Church.  It will continue until 4 p.m.

An hour later at 12 noon Starbucks Coffee Company in the front of the Statesboro Mall will kick off the final blood drive for 2013.  The bloodmobile will remain there collecting blood until 4 p.m.

It is very important that all eligible donors visit one of today’s blood drives.  Unfortunately there is a chronic shortage of blood and the only way there can be enough on hand when it is needed is by donations.

If you need to do so, you may make an appointment for a specific time to fit your schedule.   By phone, call: 1-800-733-2767 (1-800-Red Cross).  Online, go to / Click on Make a Blood Donation Appointment
