Primetime Lounge’s alcohol license in jeopardy

Written by  Monday, 23 December 2013 09:53

A hearing has been set for January 7 to determine if the alcohol license for Primetime Lounge should be revoked.  The probe follows a report from a December 12 hearing in which it was learned that the license was obtained on a lease agreement that may have been forged.

During the hearing Primetime Lounge owners Karen Brown and Eurl Kittles said the lease agreement to obtain an alcohol license was submitted to the Georgia Department Revenue which listed Brown as the owner.  Mark Anderson, Bulloch Properties, LLC, owner of the property, said he had never met Brown and the signature on the lease agreement was not his.

Bulloch County Superior Court Judge John R. Turner signed a consent order Friday set January 7 as the date the matter will be held before the Statesboro City Council and mayor to determine if the license should be revoked.  The Georgia Department of Revenue has begun its own investigation into the matter,

Recently both Primetime Lounge and the Platinum Lounge were shut down because of violence at both clubs in which two people were shot to death.  Both clubs are trying to get permission to reopen for business.
