Four Jail Division deputies promoted to corporal

Written by  Jared Akins, Buddy Horne Monday, 16 December 2013 09:35

The new corporals, John Kearney, Beverly Prince, John Thompson, and Sam Evans, were promoted based on their leadership, work ethic, and ability.  They will be assigned to positions which make them Assistant Shift Supervisors on each of the four shifts of the Jail Division.

The Bulloch County Jail typically houses 300 plus inmates including pre-sentence detainees, State inmates, and Federal inmates.  The staff of 50 jail-certified deputies are responsible for the safe housing of these inmates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sheriff Anderson congratulated the four deputies on their promotions and thanked them for their service to the citizens of Bulloch County.
