Moore is one of 12 new parole officers who recently graduated from Basic Probation/Parole Officer Training Course in Forsyth. He will return to Statesboro to work in his field.
Moore was a philosophy major at Georgia Southern and graduated from Mercer University law school. He was an intern with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation before becoming a parole officer.
He said he is looking forward to his new position and thinks he can help have a positive influence in the community.
Since Moore will have no actual physical office, he will operate a “virtual office” from his car that will be equipped with laptop computers, mobile printers and other technology. Instead of parolees coming to him, Moore will visit with the parolees at work or home or some other location.
