Around 8:30 AM Saturday morning, Lydia Michelle Swearingain, 37, was reportedly using “profanity and not following directions," said Bulloch County sheriff's Deputy Jeffrey Thompson, who responded to a call for assistance by jail employees.
After admitting to deputies that she had been drinking, Swearingain blew a 0.154 percent blood alcohol content number, nearly twice the legal intoxication limit of .08.
Swearingain was arrested for public intoxication, and jail staff found marijuana in her pocket.
Swearingain was charged with crossing guard lines with drugs, marijuana possession, and public intoxication. As of Tuesday afternoon, she remained in jail custody with a $6,000 bond. Reports did not indicate who Swearingain was at the jail to visit.
