Monday, September 2, is Labor Day. Labor Day weekend activities include the third annual Willow Hill Heritage Festival and Prayer breakfast and dedication of the William James School history room.
The breakfast is scheduled for this Saturday, August 31st, at the Willow Hill Heritage & Renaissance Center, formerly the Willow Hill School, at 4235 Willow Hill Road near Portal. Bishop Raleigh Lee, Jr., of Ohio will be the prayer breakfast speaker. He serves as pastor of Mount Olive Holy Temple Church in Lincoln Heights, Ohio.
Lee is a Bulloch County native and attended Willow Hill Elementary and Junior High Schools. For several years he, along with other family members and friends, performed as the Starlight Pilgrim Jubilees, singing live Sunday mornings on WWNS, Bulloch County's first and currently oldest radio station.
The festival will have activities for adults and youth, a special Kidz Zone, entertainment, food and many more family oriented activities.
