Stolen computer rocovered during traffic stop

Marcus Jamell Green Marcus Jamell Green   According to the Statesboro Police Department, about 6:50 Thursday night Corporal Andrew Samples (K-9 unit) stopped a vehicle on Lanier Drive for a traffic violation.  He saw several electronic pieces such as computers and cell phones in the vehicle.  Further investigation confirmed that one of the laptop computers, a MacBook Pro, has been reported stolen May 25 during a forced-entry burglary at Campus Crossings Apartments at the intersection Lanier Drive and Chandler Road.

 

  The driver of the vehicle, Marcus Jamell Green, was arrested for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.  All of the electronics in the vehicle were collected as evidence by the Statesboro Police Department and are currently being processed to determine if they are stolen.  The items collected were listed as a Gateway Laptop, LG Phone Chargers, Dell Monitor, Dell Tower, iPhone, Samsung Phone and 2 Thumb Drives.

 

  People who believe any of the items belong to them need to contact the Investigations Bureau Statesboro Police Department and provide a description and identification information such as: make, model, color, serial number and any other information that may confirm that the items are theirs
