On Monday, May 27, forty-five year old James Harvey was arrested and charged with the death of his son, 27 year old Eric Brennon Harvey, Lee Road in Pembroke. The two had gotten into an argument at the father’s home on Longwood Drive during which the son was stabbed. He later died at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. An autopsy by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation concluded Eric Harvey's death was a homicide.
Bulloch County Superior Court Judge William J. Woodrum has not yet set bond of the charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence pending a hearing earlier this week.
This past Tuesday two other people were charged with perjury in connection with the case. Bulloch County Sheriff Department’s Chief Deputy Jared Akins said Eric’s girlfriend, 24 year old Jessica Lynne Lank of Old Groover Mill Road, and 21 year old Jordan Tyler Everett of Longwood Drive were charged with falsifying statements, concealing facts and perjury. Akins said information they gave at a hearing this pastMonday had “drastically changed” from that they gave during the initial investigation into the death. He did not say what the discrepancies were citing the ongoing investigation.
